Sitting here waiting for inspiration to call
Flipping through paper wondering why I try at all (try at all)

Sipping a cider wishing I could drink back home
Above clouds are greying as I ride this road alone (road alone)

I guess you’ll have to take it from me
Unless you want advice from the bees
When there’s a message to convey
Match your actions with what you say

Fumbling to grasp what exactly is on my mind
So much reflection, how do I ever find the time (find the time?)

And every now and then I step back to take a look at the world we’re living in
And every then and now, I’ve found, that we’ve managed to progress somehow
Is it enough to stumble on, reaching for a distant dawn?
Or is the meaning in the movement of the melody, not in the pitch or key?

Living is easy if your aim is to survive
So much more out there that it takes effort to truly thrive (truly thrive)

I guess you’ll have to take it from me
Unless you want advice from the bees
When there’s a message to convey
Match your actions with what you say
